My blog

No the world is not coming to an end, but yes I did start a blog (actually the world might be coming to an end- I really have no idea, but that is irrelevant of me starting a blog). After seeing many of my friends blogs working well and realizing how hard it is to update all of you lovely people while keeping up with the now strenuous requirements of a science and technology school- especially for someone as technologically challenged as me- I have decided this might be a helpful way to stay in touch. I don’t find it boring.  It is very intensive, and so at times it can get boring if all I am doing is studying.  Being in Saudi Arabia it is definitely a different atmosphere than most colleges, but if I was seeking that atmosphere I wouldn’t have come to Saudi Arabia.  I chose KAUST because it was an invitation to come to a very closed off country, a huge adventure to be a part of something very new and groundbreaking, and an excellent opportunity academically.
