My blog

No the world is not coming to an end, but yes I did start a blog (actually the world might be coming to an end- I really have no idea, but that is irrelevant of me starting a blog). After seeing many of my friends blogs working well and realizing how hard it is to update all of you lovely people while keeping up with the now strenuous requirements of a science and technology school- especially for someone as technologically challenged as me- I have decided this might be a helpful way to stay in touch. Rained out of school!

I have never had a snow day in my life and have been slightly jealous when I hear of people getting days off due to extreme weather.  Today I got one! No, there was no blizzard.  No hurricane, fire or earthquake.  There was rain.  Here is an email I just received:

Please note that due to the severe weather and flooding that we are currently experiencing here at KAUST, there will be no classes and all our schools (KAUST and ECC/K-12) will be closed, in conjuction with the offices.  We would request that you stay at home today.
