

So despite my greatest efforts at good time management, the inevitable PDE’s night 4 is here. We had eleven days to do ten problems. Easy right. Granted they are hard problems, but I was determined to do a problem a day. That failed on the first night, when at 4am I called it quits. The past ten days have consisted of trying to catch up, trying to do my work in my other classes, and trying to get some exercise and sleep each day. Now, I have about 17 hours left to finish, and am about half way done. (Which makes this the natural time to be writing a blog post). It’s alright though, because I’ve got company, and this time we are doing things right. We have learned from our past several homework assignments and now know the tricks of the trade. This time we have made it an official party on Facebook, and have invited the whole class, including our teacher. So I’m sitting here in my warm clothes (I stopped short of bringing a blanket) with my sharpened pencils, carton of soy milk to compliment the free library coffee, and my box of candy canes, ready to seize the night. Many are hard at work. My friend Cheng Cheng is already doing cart wheels and push ups to get energized. The Mexicans have resorted to their Arabic vocabulary of about five words. Another forest is being destroyed in scratch paper alone. I gotta feeling…
